Letter to My “Other Half”
I just wanna talk… I just wanna talk and not face the criticism that turns me away into my minds, ugly distorted prison.
I wanna be free to express all of me so be my diary and I’ll be the pen that bleeds.
Let my ink fulfill you and my words forever instill in you…
I just wanna talk so please don’t condescend me, exposing myself already consumes my energy.
The last thing I want is for you to become my enemy because all in all I just want you to love me unconditionally.
Not to waste your time or mine but I have these things on my mind, don’t worry only idiots fall in love and I’m no fool I know what love does.
I need to figure out how to make these audacious thoughts stop, in my head I hear the bold sounds of ticking from a grandfather clock.
Time is infinite and with every hour every thought becomes more intimate.
I just wanna talk and say this road is too dark and that I can never love because the pain will be too sharp…
There are no lullabies or beautiful songs from heavenly harp because love is hell and I don’t want to embark…
On a journey that can only end in pain so I just wanna talk before I’m driven insane, please understand or at least try to.
I just wanna take the time to apologize in advance because I have to…
Catch myself before I fall , even when you could’ve potentially been my other half too…
So here I am saying “I’m sorry” and R.I.P to the beautiful, crazy audacious thoughts of me and you.

In 1967, Kathrine Switzer was the first woman to run the Boston marathon. After realizing that a woman was running, race organizer Jock Semple went after Switzer shouting, “Get the hell out of my race and give me those numbers.” However, Switzer’s boyfriend and other male runners provided a protective shield during the entire marathon. The photographs taken of the incident made world headlines, and Kathrine later won the NYC marathon with a time of 3:07:29.
